I want to ship an ice cream cake by UPS, 2-Day Select, will the cake still be edible by Friday?

I've never shipped an ice cream cake before, but I am going to put it in a towel-lined cooler and surround it with ice packs, dry ice, and possibly regular ice. Then it'll be put in a mailing box of course. It will get there on Friday they say. Do you think the cake will make it and still be edible? Is there anyway to get them to just leave it on the porch of the recipient's house without a signature (It'll be safe)? Thanks =)I want to ship an ice cream cake by UPS, 2-Day Select, will the cake still be edible by Friday?
If possible try to do Next Day Air, but if you can't 2-day will be fine. Try to use styrafoam container with dry ice is the best (this is how the steak co. do this and they be frozen solid). If shipping to a residential address, yes you have the option for it to be released w/o a signature. Hope that this info has helped you.I want to ship an ice cream cake by UPS, 2-Day Select, will the cake still be edible by Friday?
dry ice is the way to go.......
well yeah it probably eill make it but it will be very moist on the inside! But yeah were talking about ';ice cream'; cake here so it could melt very fast! But since your putting it in a cooler with ice around it it should be ok!
Simple,Ask the people you buy the cake from, the best way to send it properly.
