Chocolate Cream Pie. Can I make it the day before?

I want to make the crust out of crushed chocolate wafers. I'm concerned if I fill the crust with the pudding, the crust will be soggy by the next day. Has anyone tried it?Chocolate Cream Pie. Can I make it the day before?
Be sure to cool the chocolate pudding before putting it in the crust. That way, the crust should be fine the next day. However, if you are planning to put a meringue on top, the meringue could ';weep'; and make the crust soggy. If you use whipped topping instead of meringue you won't have this problem. You would probably want to whip it the day you serve the pie, however.Chocolate Cream Pie. Can I make it the day before?
no u cannot ..
Ive never had a problem with the crust getting soggy. Your pie should be fine. Ive made them lots of times and they have lasted for several days without any problems. Good luck! :)
Preparing your pie one day in advance will not make the crust soggy. Now, if you made it one week in advance, your pudding would break down and result in a soggy crust.

Making it the day before will give your pie enough time to set up and be delicious.
They taste better after chilling all night. Not soggy either.
You can always put it in the freezer till your ready for it. In the summer it is a welcome treat to have something like this froze.
